The BIKE-SAFE-TOWER® is a modern and innovative bicycle parking system that provides single parking spaces in individual boxes.
The tower offers 6 to 1,000 and more bicycle parking spaces from a footprint of 5m2. For example, 80 parking spaces for bicycles can be provided in the space of just two car parking spaces. And in record time in Europe: even towers with the largest bicycle capacity can be turned over 1x in max. 10 minutes!
The production of the relevant technology and components is exclusively developed and produced in-house in Switzerland. Depending on the country where the tower is to be erected, we work together with local companies – for example for the construction of the tower, the façade cladding or connections to the electrical system.
TOWER CAPACITY FROM 6 TO 1000 AND MORE PARKING SPACES
The Bike-Safe-Tower® is a modular construction and can be individually adapted in terms of bicycle parking capacity: Minimum to maximum bicycle capacities on the smallest footprint can be realised. The Bike-Safe-Tower® is available with a minimum of 6 bicycle parking spaces.
The Bike-Safe-Tower® is available in the following versions and models:
- Model BST 06: 6 individual boxes, system height 6m
- Model BST 09: 8 single boxes, system height 8m
- Model BST 14: 14 single boxes, system height 12m
- Model BST 20: single boxes, system height 16m
- Model BST 25: 25 single boxes, system height 20m
- Model BST: 32: 32 individual boxes, system height 25m
MAXIMUM CAPACITY ON MINIMUM FLOOR SPACE, IN HIGH AND/OR LOW CONSTRUCTION OR IN COMBINATION
In the space of only 4 car parking spaces, the Bike-Safe-Tower® can provide over 300 bicycle parking spaces. Its minimum footprint requires approx. 8m2 (= equivalent to one car parking space) and can already provide over 70 bicycle parking spaces on such an area.
Access to the boxes does not necessarily have to be on the ground floor level, but can also be provided on different floors. Thus, not only a tower variant is possible in building construction, but also in civil engineering or a combination of both construction variants. This is particularly perfect for buildings such as railway stations, shopping centres, etc., which have several storey levels and also want to provide corresponding access to the bicycle parking garage on the appropriate levels.
QUICK ACCESS TO THE INDIVIDUAL BOX – MAXIMUM 15 SECONDS.
In the design and choice of materials, the interaction with the technology and software, the focus was on making access to the box as quick as possible for the user. Freely available boxes are always ready within seconds. Access to the parked bike in a box will take a maximum of 15 seconds from the time it is called up via the smartphone app. Regardless of how busy the tower is. For this purpose, we have developed a construction that controls and regulates the torque of the drive: smooth and dynamic acceleration and braking is thus possible without all the boxes vibrating when starting up. The side effect is that the tower is very quiet in operation and is also ideal in residential areas.
FULLY DIGITALISED TOWER MANAGEMENT AND INDEPENDENT UNITS.
The Bike-Safe-Tower® is fully digitally controlled and organised via an in-house developed software system. The software allows the tower operator to freely design the parking offer and can thus be adapted to regional market needs. In combination with a state-of-the-art PLC industrial automation system, the Bike-Safe-Tower® is suitable for tough use in any environment (railway stations, commercial zones, housing developments). The users/customers of a parking facility can easily use the various parking services with the Bike-Safe-Tower® (iOS and Google Android).
FACADE DESIGN ALLOWS ALL DESIGN IDEAS TO BE REALISED
Each tower is unique in terms of design: the solid base construction made of quality steel and the possibility of attaching various façade elements allow all design and architectural ideas to be realised. Even very heavy façade elements are no problem and any choice of material is possible. This allows the tower to blend in perfectly with any environment. Whether free-standing, between two buildings or on a wall as an elevated version or in a combination of an underground and elevated version.
OPTIONS: BATTERY CHARGING OPTION AND AUTONOMOUS POWER SUPPLY WITH SOLAR ROOF
The Bike-Safe-Tower® offers the possibility that e-bikes or their batteries can be charged while parked. If the Bike-Safe-Tower® is to function autonomously from the power grid, an optionally available PV system and the associated battery storage solution can accomplish this.
